The Donahoo's make their arrival!

On July 21, 2008, Elle's great-grandparents, Ray and Doris Donahoo, flew in from Illinois to visit. Elle was almost seven weeks old. Elle got to spend the week with her Gigi and Pop-Pop at Nana and Pop-Pop Bob's House. Here are a few pictures of Elle's time with her great-grandparents. It was a sad day when they left a week later, but Elle can't wait for them to come back at Christmas.

Pop-Pop Ray is one nutty guy, but Elle is sure to have a special relationship with him.

In an effort to subdue my forever-cranky Elle-bear, I broke out the play gym for the first time. As with all things new, it seemed great at first. However, after a few minutes, things got . . .well . . .watch as the story unfolds . . .

"This pillow is cozy . . .kind of soft, but slightly firm . . .and look at all the colors."

"Ooooo. . .lights . . .I like things that light up."

"What the . . .is that thing singing?"

"I'm getting a little anxious. Let me suck on my arm. Oh crap. . .that's right . . . I can't do that yet"

"How much longer do I have to be in this blessed thing. I'm getting cranky and irritable."

The Many Facets of Elle!

As parents, we have an unconditional love for our Ellie-bear . . . who wouldn't? Isn't she a doll? However, Elle often keeps Shawn and I on our toes. Her demeanor can change in the blink of an eye. Great Granny's 80th Birthday Party!

Our family celebrated Great Granny's 80th birthday this weekend!

Elle enjoyed time with Granny, Grandpa Dutch, Uncle Chad, Great Aunt Shari, and many more! She also got to spend time with her baby cousin Ryan and Great Cousin Nicole! He's a cutie!
