Happy Valentine's Day

What a happy little Valentine! I tried taking Elle to get portraits done for Valentine's Day, but, despite our best efforts, she just wouldn't smile. I broke out the camera at home, and she was full of smiles. She had a blast hamming it up for the camera. Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. Love you, Elle

Wanna Kiss???

Wash Day!

Elle can already sort, wash, fold, and put away the laundry!

"This goes with the whites, right Mommy?!"

"All Separated. . .To The Basement We Go!!!!!"

I'm 8 Months Old!

Happy Birthday Scooter Boots! Yesterday, Elle turned 8 months old. The biggest news to report is that Elle is FINALLY sleeping SWADDLE-FREE! She turned over in her swaddle at daycare and that was the end of that. We transitioned her by sleeping her in her car seat and the first night went surprisingly well. She's been sleeping like a champ ever since. She's also had two good days at daycare this week, so hopefully we're making some strides in that department. I'm so glad we decided to transition her now instead of waiting until August.
Elle is also getting another tooth. It's on the top, but not in the middle (somewhat odd. . . but oh well!). She's not crawling yet, but she does a lot of bouncing up and down and waving of the arms. I often wonder if she thinks she'll just take off that way. She's talking up a storm, saying mama and baba. She also just started saying dadada this morning. We don't have another check up until next month, but I'm guessing she weighs in at around 20lbs. She's growing like a weed. Elle is generally pretty happy these days, unless she's tired and then she can be a real bear. Shawn and I love watching her grow and change. Thanks for all the smiles, Elle!

"I do it myself" is the theme of the month. Elle put in her own pacifier.
