Elle's Baptism

This Sunday, January 25, 2009, we celebrated Elle's Baptism at St. John's Lutheran Church in Boyertown, PA. This is the same church where I was baptized as a baby, and where Shawn and I were married in June 2006. Elle was fabulous and had a great time seeing all her family. We had a nice reception afterwards. Shawn and I want to thank everyone for their generosity and time as we celebrated Elle's acceptance into the church.

Happy 7th Month Birthday!

Elle turned 7 months old on January 3, 2009. These pictures were taken that morning. At 7 months, Elle has two teeth and is anxiously awaiting the arrival of more. She can sit-up, laugh, smile, coo, say some consonant sounds, blow raspberries, roll over, and she is just starting to try to get up on her knees. We had a rough patch from 4 months to six months when it came to sleep, but she seems to be turning a corner. She still sleeps with her arms swaddled, but her legs are out and she is sleeping in her crib. She goes to bed at 6:30p.m. and is usually up by 6:45a.m. She still wakes up once (occasionally twice) for a bottle. We pray she continues to do so well. Elle started daycare this week. She will be going 2-3 times a week until September when I go back to work full time. I will be substitute teaching in my district until then. Shawn and I can't get over how much she has changed in seven months. Happy Birthday Ellie!

E-A-G-L-E-S!

"Thanks Pop-Pop for my cool McNabb jersey!" Don't I look great!? Elle cheered on the Birds in style last Sunday, and she's already geared up for this Sunday's game.

Christmas with Pop-Pop Ray and Mom-Mom!

Our event-filled holiday ended with a trip to Pop-Pop Ray's house. We spent Saturday afternoon with Ray, Debbie, Uncle Jeffrey and Aunt Heather. Elle got some cool new toys that she loved playing with, and while she took a great nap, we enjoyed some great food. The only down side to the day was that Shawn got his butt beat by Jeffrey while playing Madden. Poor Shawn! Maybe next time. Thanks Ray and Debbie for a great afternoon.

Christmas with Granny and Pop-Pop Dutch!

We spent the 26th at Granny and Pop-Pop's house. Elle got to see her Aunt Christy and (soon to be) Uncle James, along with her Granny and Pop-pop Dutch. After a great dinner, we got to spend some quality time with the family while Elle slept. She slept great at Gran's house. Thanks to Valerie and Dutch for everything. We had so much fun! Elle wants to know when she can come back.

Christmas at Nana and Pop-Pop's House!

We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day with the Nana and Pop-Pop Eichert. We had a great time with the Clinefelter's and Elle enjoyed all the cuddles and hugs she received from the family. Thanks to my mom for a great Christmas dinner.

Elle was all smiles on Christmas morning. . .because she knew Santa had come at last.
