About two weeks ago, Ellie discovered that she had a thumb (two to be exact) and that it (they) might be nice to suck on. As the mother of a baby who won't take a pacifier, I was relieved to see that she had found her "built-in sucker." The problem-she can't seem to get the darn thing in her mouth. She tries relentlessly over the course of hours and often melts into a puddle of goo when she can't satisfy herself. Here are some shots of her "never-ending quest."
